Brooklyn Botanic Garden again

Oh the wonders of a grasshopper. He was taken captive for a
short time, but released unharmed.

Plant Spider, in the childrens garden.

This is where the classes go for their summer classes.

Do you feel more peaceful now? The Japanese Garden is quite soothing and beautiful.

I think I would totally do a photo shoot next to the
Japanese Garden.

I could not figure out why the fish were gathering for meal time
until I realized that my kidlets were dropping in cereal they smuggled out
of my bag.

Governor's Island

You should come to Governor's Island!
Super cost-efficient!
Free bike rides for 1 hour on Friday (even with a kid seat on the bike--yay).

Free Mini Golf--my kidlets loved it!

Touchable art exhibit--the kids love it. They have a delightful drum set that is loud.

It's an old historically significant military base.

NY Philharmonic Concert

Go see the New York Philharmonic Concert, your kids may not pay attention, you may not be able to absorb the music to the extent you'd like, but it will be a marvelous experience if you prep and work together to make it a delightful and exciting night.

Pack food, bug repellent, water, a blanket, balloons if you are meeting people, glow-in-the-dark things, games, etc. Sit in the back if you've got kids because there is more room for running around and catching fire flies. Snaps (you know the little white things you throw on the ground and they snap) is a great occupier pre-and-post concert. Enjoy!

Manhattan Cupcakes

Yummy! Opt for the vanilla cupcake with any sort of icing. The cheesecake is pretty tasty too! Take friends, anything this tasty should be shared.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden #51

Everything bloomed at once.

P.S. They don't like it when children dig or play in the dirt around the trees. The trees, apparently, dislike it intensely.

Glorious New York City in all its beauty is a wonderful place to raise a family.

This blog is a place where New York Moms are able to tell of their experiences with their own happy twist. Pictures of NYC may be posted but not pictures of our dear kidlets (unless they are very discreet and we cannot see their faces too well).
